Ingredients:

½ pound ground beef
½ pound Italian Sausage
3 Slices bacon, chopped
1 29-ounce can crushed tomatoes
1 TB fresh basil
½ cup sliced mushrooms
¼ cup olive oil
½ tsp pepper
1 onion, chopped
6 oz can tomato paste
1 Bay Leaf
Grated Parmesan cheese

Directions:

Mix, meats with onion; heat bacon in hot oil, add meats, onion, mushrooms; stir and cook until browned. Add tomatoes, bay leaf, salt and pepper; simmer for an hour. Add water if too thick; add tomato paste and simmer 15 minutes. Remove bay leaf and add fresh basil and parmesan.
Tastes even better the next day!
